Customer Success / Quote

KRP Properties managed over 30 buildings totaling 3.1 million square feet in Canada’s Largest Technology Parkβ€”but without real-time visibility into equipment performance, facility engineers were stuck in a reactive maintenance cycle. Identifying energy waste across HVAC, lighting, and electrical systems at that scale, while keeping the technology companies in the park comfortable and productive, required a smarter approach.

β€œThe FacilityConneX solution has helped us to better understand our equipment and how it’s operating, enabling our team of facility engineers to become more proactive in their approach to maintenance and energy savings.” – Terry Young VP of Operations at KRP Properties

Since 2016, FacilityConneX has delivered real-time analytics and monitoring-based commissioning across KRP’s portfolioβ€”performing over 35,000 automated equipment checks per day and producing tens of thousands of dollars in identified savings. Starting with 411 Legget Drive, the program’s proven results led KRP to expand to two additional buildings: 303 Terry Fox Drive and 2500 Solandt, bringing total monitored space to approximately 500,000 sq ftβ€”more than 15 percent of KRP’s entire portfolio.

With FacilityConneX as a continuous intelligence layer across its buildings, KRP has achieved faster time to resolution, optimized equipment performance, and created a more comfortable, energy-efficient environment for the technology tenants that define Canada’s Largest Technology Park.
